We were instructed by our client to help them to fulfil a personal dream of constructing a contemporary extension to complement their traditional family home.
We designed a strongly contrasting two-storey extension which provides additional dining space that leads to a terrace on the ground floor. A new staircase under a glazed link leads to a master suite with incredible views of Fowey harbour and beyond.
On a narrow site, we re-modelled and re-configured the landscaping and parking to improve access and outdoor spaces.
The extension and redesign aims to achieve a high-quality home, befitting of the site’s location overlooking the River Fowey, whilst considering site’s context within a Conservation Area and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Delightedly, the proposals sailed through the planning process, and following on we were engaged to carry out our technical design stages. We hope to see the project start in the near future.
